Looking for something different to do Saturday night? Oracle State Park is celebrating International Observe the Moon Night on September 19, 2026, from 6 to 9 p.m.
The evening brings stargazing, music and activities to this International Dark Sky Park. Volunteers from the Tucson Amateur Astronomy Association will have telescopes set up outside the Kannally Ranch House from 7 to 9 p.m., helping visitors explore the night sky.
Come early if you’re hungry. La Bufadora Food Truck will sell fish and shrimp tacos, sides and drinks from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Musician Jamie Miller, performing as Hypnopad, will provide ambient music on the patio from 7 to 8 p.m. Moon activities will also take place inside the ranch house.
The event is included with regular park admission or an annual state parks pass, and registration isn’t required. Bring a folding chair if you’d like a seat, since patio space is limited.
